League of Legends season 10 has begun, and the ranked climb is an opportunity for players to reach the goals that they desire. Whether the goal is to reach silver, diamond or challenger, players will need to be able to carry their teammates to victory. The following are some of the best champions for carrying each role.

While tanks are typically seen as being difficult to carry games, Ornn stands out as one of the best tanks. His strong early game allows him to bully his lane opponent, and easily set up ganks. Ornn thrives in teamfight situations, so look to group whenever teams are contesting an objective. The large amount of crowd control in his kit allows him to provide strong engage for his team. His ability to upgrade the items of his teammates provides a large amount of free stats. Look to hit as many enemies with his ultimate, Call of the Forge, as possible to find success in fights.

Ekko is an exceptional pick for carrying from the jungle. He snowballs incredibly well with early kills, and he has a decent clear speed. Look to gank overextended lands at level three, and look for a larger skirmish with his ultimate, Chronobreak. His high mobility and burst potential make it easy to one shot enemy carries, while being able to escape back with ease. Ekko also provides magic damage for team compositions with heavy attack damage.

Cassiopeia has insane sustained damage and healing that will provide easy wins during teamfights. She makes great use of both Conqueror and Phase Rush keystones, so look for which one is the most appropriate for each game. Her ability to ground enemies with her W, Miasma, and stun enemies with her ultimate, Petrifying Gaze, makes it incredibly difficult for enemies to both engage on her and escape from her. Play around her weakness of having low mobility by properly positioning during teamfights.

Caitlyn is a champion that has one of the highest base ranges in the game, which she can use to her advantage. She is an innate lane bully because of this range, and can use her early advantage to shove her lane opponents under their tower. She scales reasonably well into the late game, especially if she has an early lead. Stormrazor is currently one of the strongest items in the game, so look to rush this into Infinity Edge into a Zeal item.

The role of Nautilus in each game is fairly similar to Ornn, because he is looking to soak up damage while dishing out heavy crowd control. Look to invade the enemy jungle level one with Nautilus, because it’s easy to find picks with your anchor. Nautilus will look to change his role depending on the situation. Sometimes it’s best to focus crowd control on the enemy carries, or to focus crowd control on peeling for carries.
