LCS Picks Week 3 Summer 2022

Robert HanesBy Robert HanesJune 30, 20225 Mins Read

The LCS is back for the Summer with some teams making a lot of changes and others sticking with their five from the Spring. Each of these teams will be duking it out to not only win an LCS Championship but also to get the chance to go to Worlds. With that people may be wondering who to pick on their way to Worlds. Here are the LCS Picks for Week 3 of the 2022 Summer Split.

    Overall Pick Record: 15-10

Pick Record from LCS Week 2: 4-6

LCS Picks Week 3 Summer 2022 Day 1

    TSM vs. EG

Both teams are coming off unexpected losses. TSM throwing at the draft and EG throwing at the Nexus. Both teams will be looking to right the ship. This game feels like a bit of a trap game for EG but with the way they have been playing for most of this split they should come out on top.

    Prediction: Evil Geniuses Win

    FLY vs. DIG

Dignitas are arguably the worst team in the LCS right now. Their win over Immortals certainly helps their case but it likely is not enough to take down FlyQuest. FlyQuest have one of the best early games in the league and are lead by sleeper MVP candidate, Toucouille. Dignitas will need an amazing game out of River and Neo to pull off a win here.

    Prediction: FlyQuest Win

    100T vs. TL

Battle of two relatively underperforming teams. Luckily for TL, their mid laner is much stronger than Abbedagge as Bjergsen has looked solid this year. If 100 Thieves were to go aggressive in the early game they might be able to catch TL offguard. Unfortunately for them, that is extremely unlikely and in any slower game, TL should come out on top.

    Prediction: Team Liquid Win

    GG vs. IMT

Another bottom-of-the-barrel matchup. Immortals just lost to Dignitas and without Lost or Revenge they may also be winless. For Golden Guardians Licorice has stepped up in a big way. While Revenge is a good challenger for Licorice, he won’t be enough. This is the game where Ablazeolive gets back on his horse to help lighten the load for Licorice.

    Prediction: Golden Guardians Win

    C9 vs. CLG

CLG are the real deal. Taking down EG, even though it was a throw by them, puts them in a great position for the playoffs. The problem is they are running into a fully armed Cloud9 and one that is looking to makeup for their 0-3 start. This Cloud9 team is not even at their best yet and they should still win this game pretty convincingly with Blaber leading the way yet again.

    Prediction: Cloud 9 Win

LCS Picks Week 3 Summer 2022 Day 2

    DIG vs. TSM

Dignitas are bad and TSM are less bad. Spica has been a machine with Maple and they alone should be enough to win this game. If Huni and Tactical stop making weird mistakes then TSM should role. If not then River and Neo may be able to give TSM a run for their money.

    Prediction: TSM Win

    EG vs. GG

Golden Guardians have great solo laners but, so do Evil Geniuses. They also have top tier players in Danny, Vulcan and Inspired. If EG lose this game it is either at draft or just random throwing.

    Prediction: Evil Geniuses Win

    C9 vs. FLY

This game will likely be close early on. Toucouille and Josedeodo will try to get a lead while Fudge feasts on Philip. Even if Philip is able to hold his own, Cloud9 have multiple ways to win and shutdown FlyQuest. This could end up being one of the more lopsided games this weekend.

    Prediction: Cloud9 Win

    CLG vs. TL

CLG are in for yet another banger of a game. If they pull off a 1-1 or 2-0 this weekend then they are undisputed as the best team in the LCS. Unfortunately for them, this prediction has them at an 0-2 weekend instead and back towards what should be the norm for these players.

    Prediction: Team Liquid Win

    IMT vs. 100T

Immortals look hapless right now and 100 Thieves will be starving for a win. This could be a very nice get right game for the Thieves. They won’t have many easier games than this one this summer. They need to take full advantage of it and walk out with a win.

    Prediction:  100 Thieves Win
