Closer and FBI Head to 100 Thieves

After much speculation, Closer and FBI will be heading from Golden Guardians to 100 Thieves. Both players were not free agents but instead had their contracts bought out. They join Ssumday on a 100 Thieves roster that is currently going through a lot of changes.

Closer and FBI were two of the major pieces for Golden Guardians that helped the team to make a run during the 2020 LCS Summer Playoffs. It was during the 2020 season that both truly came into their own and some have argued that Closer and FBI are top three players at their positions respectively. By adding them to a roster that already includes arguably the best top laner in the LCS in Ssumday, 100 Thieves are positioning themselves to try and make a run at their first title.

It will be interesting to see who else they add and what their official roster shapes up to be. If they make the right moves, they could be one of the teams that are able to seriously contend with the likes of Cloud9 and Team Liquid.
