Resident “kind boy” Ssumday isn’t going anywhere.
100 Thieves announced the re-signing/extension of All-Pro Top Laner Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho this Friday.
In the video provided, Chan-ho states that he “would like to be the face of Hundred Thieves.” While not official, many LCS followers know, Ssumday has been 100T’s poster child for some time. There is no doubt his presence played a significant role in bringing Bae “Bang” Jun-sik to North America, and he has always been one of 100 Thieves’ best players.

Since 100T’s LCS inception, Ssumday has been an integral piece to the winning puzzle. A Worlds appearance in their inaugural season and finishing second in MVP voting are only a few of his accomplishments. Even in tumultuous times, Ssumday persevered, winning the “Academy World Championships”. Fans of Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag’s organization were quick to praise the move. While extending Chan-ho was a no-brainer, some people made very funny, overzealous comparisons.

Truthfully, with the load he has had to carry, it’s almost believable.
As for what this means for the future of 2020, not much has changed. Ssumday and crew still are growing better every day, and the team still has its eyes on Worlds. With the Summer Split now meaning more than ever, fans hope Ssumday can continue his good form into next season and help earn 100 Thieves their second Worlds appearance.
