100 Thieves 2021 Summer Split Week 7 Review

Publish Date: July 21, 2021

100 Thieves have been one of the best teams in the LCS during the Summer split, currently in sole possession of first place. In week 7, they found themselves playing Dignitas QNTMPAY, Team Liquid, and FlyQuest. Looking to go 3-0 this week, the Thieves brought out a number of looks, some working, and some not. Here is the 100 Thieves 2021 Summer Split Week 7 Review.

Friday – Dignitas QNTMPAY

From a poorly executed dive at five minutes to Abbedagge getting caught out shortly after that into a couple of lost team fights, 100 Thieves looked completely lost. FBI and Huhi, consistently the best Bot lane in the LCS, looked mortal. Abbedagge looked like Damonte, and there was simply no proactivity. They picked up no neutral objectives and they looked like they didn’t know what to do. This showed in the final score line of 13-3.

Saturday – Team Liquid

On Saturday, 100 Thieves looked much better, as they were desperate to turn things around. Abbedagge looked great in mid, and FBI and Huhi looked once again like the best Bot lane in the LCS. Even against CoreJJ, they were dominant. Ssumday looked… not great… but he was the only player to die for the Thieves. Granted, he had 5 deaths, but he opened up the map so much on the Ornn, allowing FBI and Abbedagge to pop off. To top it all off, they looked proactive. They knew what their plan was, and they executed it. Overall, it was a great day for them, and they picked up a big win against a top team in the LCS.

Sunday – FlyQuest

FlyQuest decided to promote their entire Academy roster to the LCS in Week 6, and they went 3-0. They picked up a great win against TSM to open up Week 7. Overall, they have looked like one of the cleaner teams in the league. However, 100 Thieves looked good once again. Abbedagge was everywhere, affecting every lane while also outplaying FlyQuest’s Mid Laner, Triple. Closer had one of his best games in recent memory, finishing with an 11/1/5 scoreline on his signature Olaf. In fact, he probably saved the game for 100 Thieves at the 31-minute mark with a 1v5 triple kill by the Baron pit. FBI and Huhi had a pretty pedestrian game, but Ssumday also played really well in the Top lane on the Gwen.

Week 8 Preview

In Week 8, 100 Thieves plays Cloud 9 on Friday, CLG on Saturday, and Immortals on Sunday. Cloud 9 should be a close game, being one of the best teams in the LCS. CLG should be relegated at some point after this weekend. Immortals has looked wishy-washy, but the two teams have gone even in their games in this Summer split. With only two weeks left in the Summer split, 100 Thieves hold sole possession of 1st place, but they need to close out strong to end up with a 1st round bye in Playoffs. This has been the 100 Thieves 2021 Summer Split Week 7 Review.
