Week one is only a few hours away and people might be needing to make their final decisions on who to start and who to sit for the first week of action. It can be a tough decision as one decides which matchup is best. Well here is a list if one is playing on DraftBuff’s fantasy esports app, that should make those decisions much easier.
The bot lane god is back. But, it has been a while since he played up on stage consistently so the rust may still be there. With a new support and games against an improved Excel squad and Origen it may be best to bench FORG1VEN for the first week of action.
Hauntzer is easily the star player for Golden Guardians and while they are predicted to finish last he should still have a solid season. That said the matchups for him and GG are pretty rough this week. He will be facing Ssumday and Licorice who are both solid and on top-level teams. Give Hauntzer a week off in week one.
Similar to one of his week one opponents in FORG1VEN, Upset may have a tough start. Destiny is brand new and Origen have a tough first week against Fnatic and Schalke. There is no doubt that he is a very good player and should put up good numbers but, most people drafted at least one other bot laner and unless their matchups are worse, they should get a look over Upset. Upset should normally start but week one may be a good one to pass on him with.
He may not have been a top pick and may have struggled last year, but Rogue should give Hans Sama new life in 2020. He has shown that he can be a strong bot laner in the past and now that he has Vander by his side it seems like he could do it again. Add that onto the fact that he is facing Misfits and Excel in week one and Hans Sama should easily be starting this week.
There are very few sure things in fantasy but, Huni might be one of them. This man not only got a nice contract to start the offseason but, the team around him is actually pretty good despite people worrying about the money they had spent. With Grig focusing Top and Huni’s opponents being Ruin and Kumo in week one, this could be a pop-off week for the Dignitas star.
If there was a situation that could benefit Dardoch’s return to the main stage, this would be it. He has teammates around him that should perform well, he is with the player he respects most in Bjergsen and both his opponents have weird situations in the jungle. Immortals signed Xmithie but the team they put around him is, well, not great. Dardoch should be able to take advantage of Xmithie scrambling to cover everything. Then against Team Liquid, Pobelter is making his debut in the jungle. Dardoch has a chance to shine and get his feet under him for the season in these first two games.
