The Los Angeles Lakers have traded center Deandre Ayton to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Jaden Hardy and two Wizards second-round picks in 2031 and 2032, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
This move comes after the Lakers’ trade for center Walker Kessler last week, further reshaping their depth chart.
Ayton had a streaky lone season with the Lakers, averaging 12.5 points and 8.0 rebounds while shooting 67.1% from the field.
Ayton, who is only 27, will now be joining his fourth NBA franchise as he looks to rebuild his career alongside forward Anthony Davis and the newly re-signed Trae Young.
