The Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to part ways with General Manager Trent Baalke according to a statement released by the team.
Baalke spent five seasons with the Jaguars and went 25-43. The Jaguars had two nine win seasons in the middle of his tenure, but regressed to just four wins this season.
Before his time in Jacksonville, Baalke was the General Manager in San Francisco from 2011-2016. The 49ers went 57-54-1 when he was the GM and VP of Player Personnel.
The Jaguars have struggled to hire a head coach during this cycle and getting a new general manager to pair with the head coach candidate they hire could help attract more talented coaches.
