Best Ball contests share many similarities with the games found at other daily fantasy sports sites. The scoring system is similar, the leagues are drafted using a snake format and you have to pay an entry fee to give you the chance to win a prize.

However, there are a few key differences that make Best Ball unique. The main difference is that there is no in-season management. After you have drafted your roster, there are no waivers or trades, and you cannot make any manual substitutions. Each week, your lineup will be the highest scoring players on your roster that fit into the starting positions.

Because of this system, your Best Ball roster has a much larger bench to allow for increased manual roster movement. Your overall roster looks like this:

Pick’em

Underdog Fantasy Pick'em is not played in leagues; it is an individual game that requires you to select a roster of between two and five players. Each player comes with a stat relating to their next game. Your task is to predict whether the actual stat achieved by each player will be higher or lower than the predicted amount. For example, if you have CJ Stroud on your roster, he may have a stat line of 270 yards attached to him. You need to predict whether Stroud’s passing yards will be higher or lower than 270 in his next game.

Alternatively, you can play Underdog Fantasy Rivals, and pick which of two players will have the higher stat line in their upcoming game. So if you have ‘Cooper Kupp vs AJ Brown’, you have to select which of the two WRs will get more receiving yards in their game.
