If you're looking for free SC on SweepStars then you should consider staying throughout this guide. We’ll make sure that you leave this page knowing all the ways you can get free virtual currencies and how to properly use them.
What makes this operator different from most other sweepstakes casinos is the three virtual currency setup it uses. Other than Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, you've got a third one called Star Dust that offers extra benefits. We’ll also explain the difference between each virtual currency, the prize wheel and leaderboard contests, and what it takes to redeem SC prizes.

The three virtual currencies and how SC redemption works at SweepStars
Knowing what each virtual currency is used for makes using and playing on SweepStars a lot easier, so let’s start there.
Gold Coins (GC)
Their value is based on the fun they bring. They cannot be redeemed, but you can win other GC prizes back. Gold Coins are primarily claimed through free bonus offers on the site. However, there's an option to buy GC packages if you want to boost your balance faster.
Sweeps Coins (SC)
This is the brand’s promotional virtual currency, since SC are the only ones that can be redeemed for gift cards and cash prizes once you've met the relevant redemption conditions. They cannot be bought directly, but you can get them either through one of the free promos or as a bonus included with an optional GC package purchase.
Star Dust (SD)
Star Dust is the third virtual currency, and its role is similar to the loyalty tiers you've seen at other sweepstakes sites. SD can be used for several different things, such as free spins, spinning the Wheel of Fate where the top prize is 3,750 GC and 10 SC, or exchanging for SC.
Just like SC, you cannot buy SD directly. Instead, you get it as a bonus included with many GC packages, or by completing daily missions that usually involve gameplay tasks, such as playing through a specific amount of GC, hitting a certain multiplier, or spinning a particular slot multiple times.
How SC prize redemption works
Before getting into all the ways you can claim your SweepStars casino free virtual coins, you should be aware of the redemption rules.
At SweepStars, you'll need at least:
- 40 SC to redeem for a gift card
- 100 SC for a cash prize
Also, bear in mind that any bonus SC also has to be played through at least once, and you must complete KYC verification to put in a prize redemption request.

Experience amazing promos and rewards
You'll find eight different ways to pick up free virtual currencies at SweepStars, each available from the moment you sign up.
🎮 Starting off as a new player
The first stop is the free welcome bonus, which is what you'll get instead of a
SweepStars no deposit bonus, since sweeps casinos don't accept deposits.
The welcome bonus includes a free 15,000 GC and 1 SC as soon as you sign up and verify your email through our banners. On top of that, if you follow SweepStars on social media, you'll get an extra 1 SC, which is 15,000 GC and 2 SC in total.
📅 Logging in for your streak
The
SweepStars daily login bonus
rewards consistency more than anything else, and the longer your streak, the bigger your reward gets. You'll log in each day, click the claim button, and pick up a mix of Gold Coins, Sweeps Coins, and/or Star Dust.
If you skip a day, the streak drops back to the starting tier, which is why we’d suggest setting a reminder to log in once every 24 hours. Also, the countdown resets at midnight, so it's up to you when you log in during the day.
Almost every sweepstakes casino includes this method. All you have to do is send a handwritten postcard following the exact format on the site's sweepstakes rules page, and you'll get 1 SC per approved entry. Each postcard needs a unique entry code, which you can find on the site before sending anything off.
✅ Clearing the five daily tasks
Daily missions are just another way for you to get free virtual coins on top of your login bonus, and they also refresh every day. Five tasks are listed for you, and each includes a bonus when you complete it.
These tasks might be something like playing through a set amount of GC or trying out a specific game. Each completed task drops a prize of either GC, SC, or SD, sometimes a mix of these.
🏆 Climbing the Star Races leaderboards
Star Races put you up against other players for a share of a rotating prize pool, with rules changing as the theme shifts. Players collect points by playing eligible games, and the top finishers split around 150 SC and 25 Star Dust between them. Heads up though, bonus round wins don't count towards your leaderboard standing.
🎡 Putting your Star Dust to use on the Wheel of Fate
The Wheel of Fate is the most reliable way for you to turn SD into something valuable, since every spin guarantees a prize. Use 10 SD on a spin and a Gold Coin or Sweeps Coin reward comes back every time.
It's quite common for sweepstakes sites to have a referral program, but SweepStars stands out by rewarding both sides. Send your unique link to a friend, and once they sign up and make a qualifying GC purchase, you'll get 10,000 GC and 20 SC while they'll pick up 10,000 GC, 5 SC, and 5 SD.
🎁 Catching social media drops
Last on the list are the giveaways, which are frequently hosted on SweepStars' social media channels. Be aware that they're always unannounced and free to enter, but that doesn't guarantee you'll win anything.

No, Sweeps Coins cannot be purchased directly. Instead, you can get them through the free promos, or included with the optional Gold Coin packages.

40 SC for a gift card and 100 SC for a cash prize, plus a 1x playthrough on any bonus SC and completed KYC verification.
