How does SpinQuest work? Here are the basics
When you visit the SpinQuest website, you might find it a little different from any real money casino you’ve seen in the past. We’ll take you through the basic features to be aware of here before we go into more detail.
SpinQuest is a sweepstakes casino, which means it doesn’t need a regular casino license to operate within the law. It’s more widely available than regular casinos, although you can’t play in every state. For instance, you won’t be able to play from Washington, Idaho, or Montana, according to their sweepstakes rules.
It uses virtual currencies
SpinQuest uses two virtual currencies - Gold Coins (GCs) and Sweeps Coins (SCs). You can choose which of those two virtual currencies to play with whenever you want to try one of their 1,000+ social casino games.
It’s free to play there
You can also play for free at SpinQuest - you don’t need to spend a cent to do so. You’ll be able to claim a
SpinQuest signup bonus
- more on that shortly - and you’ll find other ways to pick up virtual currencies too.

A closer look at SpinQuest’s two virtual currencies
Before you think of signing up at SpinQuest Casino, you must understand how their two virtual currencies work and what you can do with them. We’ll take you through the basics here.
Using Gold Coins
You can use Gold Coins to play casual casino-style games. For example, if we’re playing a title for the first time, such as
SpinQuest Bubble Craps, we’ll use Gold Coins until we fully understand how it works.
If we manage to win some Gold Coins while we’re playing, we’ll do one of two things with them:
- Continue to play the same title to extend our social gaming enjoyment
- Switch to a different title to use some GCs on that instead
You can’t redeem the Gold Coins for anything. You can purchase more Gold Coins should you want to, but you don’t need to at any stage.
Using Sweeps Coins
If you play with Sweeps Coins, you might be able to win some of those instead. Here's where things get interesting. If you win enough Sweeps Coins and you play with them enough times, you’ve got the chance to redeem your Sweeps Coin winnings to get a real prize. Keep reading to get more info on that process below.
You can’t purchase any Sweeps Coins - they’re never available in this manner. You’ll be able to get some in different ways though - for example, if you ever decide to make an optional GC purchase, you might get some free Sweeps Coins with it.

| Collect the daily login bonus | 10,000 GCs each day | 1 SC each day |
| Complete the mail-in request | N/A | 5 SCs |
You can also follow their social media channels to keep track of any other potential offers or giveaways you might see there. They're currently on Instagram and X (previously Twitter), and they’ve got their own YouTube channel as well.

Common questions about SpinQuest
We’ve found some key queries cropping up time and again about the format at SpinQuest Casino. So, we’ve pulled together some questions here and given you the answers you need before you think about joining the sweepstakes casino.
Can you claim any real prizes at SpinQuest?
More specifically,
can you get real money prizes on SpinQuest
if you sign up there? Yes, it’s possible, but you need to understand how the process works. You can play with Sweeps Coins if you wish, and if you win while playing casino-style games with those, you will win more Sweeps Coins.
If you manage to reach 50 SCs from playing, you need to play through them 3x or more before you can redeem your SC winnings. You cannot get a
SpinQuest payout
as you would at a standard real money casino, but you can redeem your SC winnings for a real prize. That’s important to understand - you can’t redeem the Sweeps Coins you collect via the methods we’ve shared here, but you can redeem 50 SC or more in winnings once you’ve met the 3x playthrough requirement.
We did find an exception to this - if you do decide to purchase an optional GC package and you pick up some free SCs with that, you’ll get a 1x playthrough on those Sweeps Coins instead of the usual 3x for other Sweeps Coins.
Can you play from a state SpinQuest isn’t available in?
No - so you can’t play in locations such as Michigan, Connecticut, or Nevada, for instance. You cannot use a VPN to try and get around this rule either. If you did this and you managed to get enough Sweeps Coins in winnings to redeem them, you’d need to provide evidence of your location and identity before you can complete the SC redemption process.
Is SpinQuest legit?
Yes - it’s run by Social Gaming Room LLC and they’re based in Sacramento, California. We checked whether they’re clear about their sweepstakes format and they are. You’ll find an explanation of the site format right at the bottom of their website. They explain more throughout their sweepstakes rules and terms and conditions too, so you’re not left in any doubt about the nature of the site before you think about signing up there.
Pros and cons of playing at SpinQuest
SpinQuest hasn’t been around for too long, but it’s already proven to be one of the more entertaining sweepstakes casinos around. We love the generous welcome bonus, giving new players 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins at this stage. We’ve got the main pros and cons for you to think about here.
Pros and Cons
- Big signup bonus
- Free to play

- Clear sweepstakes rules
- Prohibited in some US states

If you do decide to join, you’ll receive 100,000 Gold Coins to start you off, along with 2 Sweeps Coins. You’ll then be able to collect the first daily login bonus to keep your virtual currency totals topped up.
SpinQuest gives you the chance to play social casino-style games with Gold Coins or to switch to sweepstakes play using Sweeps Coins. We’d suggest playing with Gold Coins first, to get a sense of which titles you enjoy most. You’ll then know which ones you’d like to go back to if you’ve collected enough Sweeps Coins to have a few spins on a favorite slot there.
