What’s SpinQuest?
Let’s start this guide by providing an answer to a question you’ve probably already asked at some point: “How does SpinQuest work?” Well, SpinQuest is a sweepstakes casino where you can play premium, casino-style games with virtual currency rather than real money.
As part of its free-to-play model, the site awards you its virtual currencies (Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC)) through daily activities, challenges, and promotions. You might even be able to redeem your eligible SC for real prizes after meeting its prize redemption requirements.
Due to its compliance with local legislation, SpinQuest is available in all US states except California, Connecticut, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Tennessee, and Washington at the time of writing. You’d also have to be at least 18 years old or the age of majority to use its services.

What are Gold Coins on SpinQuest?
Gold Coins are one of the two virtual currencies used at SpinQuest. They’re used to play the site’s games for fun and can’t be redeemed for alternative prizes. There’ll always be a stream of free GC available at SpinQuest, and interestingly, you’ll be offered more GC than SC. We’d also like you to note that GCs don’t last forever; they have a validity period of 60 days. Now, let’s look at some of the ways you can get GC at SpinQuest:
Welcome offers
SpinQuest welcomes its new players with a welcome bonus that includes 100,000 GC. It’s a one-time offer that’s credited to your account immediately after you’ve completed the sign-up process. We didn’t need a promo code to claim ours, and all you’d need to do to get yours is to take the following steps:
-
Click on the on-page banners to visit the official SpinQuest website.
-
Provide your username, first name, last name, email, and location on the first page of the registration form.
-
Click the “Continue” button to go to the next page.
-
Provide your D.O.B., unique password, your phone number, and your referral code if available.
-
Confirm that you’re 18+ and reside in one of the
SpinQuest legal states
-
Agree to receive offers, new game updates, and rewards via SMS and email.
-
Click the “Sign Up” button to complete the process.
Although you don’t need optional GC pack purchases to play at SpinQuest, it offers you a one-time, first purchase deal where you’ll get 300,000 GC for $10 and a complimentary bonus of 30 SC. Note that SC can’t be purchased, and the complimentary SC bonus is free.
Daily login bonuses
Another way to grab GC at SpinQuest is by logging in to the site daily. The site offers a daily login bonus of 10,000 GC, available every 24 hours. You also won’t require a promo code to claim this promo. Simply log in every 24 hours, and it’s yours.
SpinQuest regularly hosts promotional giveaways on its official Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages. You can claim GC by participating in these promotions and completing the required tasks. That said, the promotions and giveaway values vary at the site’s discretion.
Gameplay
You can also score GC when playing your preferred casino-style games at SpinQuest. For example, after playing Hacksaw Gaming’s Dead or A Wild a couple of times, we were able to bag 100 GC.
Optional GC pack purchases
Although there’s a steady stream of free GC at SpinQuest, the site also offers optional GC pack purchases so you can increase your GC stash and extend your playing sessions. Here are some of the packs we found at SpinQuest:
- 50,000 GC for $5
- 200,000 GC for $19.99

Here’s a quick SpinQuest Gold Coins vs Sweeps Coins comparison
We’ve already described how GC works at SpinQuest, so let’s look at how SC also works, after which we’ll compare both virtual currencies.
Sweeps Coins are SpinQuest’s sweepstakes currency and can also be used for gameplay. However, unlike GC, you can’t purchase SC. Instead, the site offers SC through promotions, giveaways, mail-in requests, or as complimentary bonuses in optional GC pack purchases.
Like most sweepstakes sites, you can redeem your eligible SpinQuest SC for real prizes. That said, for your SC to be eligible for prize redemption, you need to meet its playthrough requirements. After you’ve met the playthrough requirement, you’ll need to have the minimum amount of eligible SC and verify your account before you can request prize redemption.
Here’s a quick look at how GC and SC differ from each other:
| GC | SC |
| Used solely for gameplay | Can be used for gameplay |
| Can’t be redeemed for real prizes | Can be redeemed for real prizes |
| Can be purchased | Can’t be purchased |
| Are awarded in large amounts | Are awarded in small amounts |

How SC prize redemption works at SpinQuest
Although this guide is primarily about how GC works at SpinQuest, we’d like to answer the question, “Can you win real money on SpinQuest?”
First off, since SpinQuest is a sweepstakes casino, you can’t win real money there. Rather, you can redeem your eligible SC for gift cards and cash prizes. For your SC to be eligible to be redeemed for these prizes, you have to meet the site’s playthrough requirements (1x for SC from optional GC pack purchases and 3x for other SC).
After meeting the playthrough requirement, you’d need a minimum of 50 eligible SC and to verify your SpinQuest account. Once all that’s done, take these steps to redeem your SC:
- Log in to your SpinQuest account.
- Head over to the "Transactions" section on the right-hand side of the website or via your account drop-down on the top right if you’re using a mobile device.
- Go to the "Redeem" area where you’ll find your eligible SC
- Browse the available options and choose the reward you wish to redeem.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your selection and complete the process.
There’s no such thing as a traditional
SpinQuest payout, but eligible SC can be redeemed for cash prizes. The prize redemption time depends on your redemption method. Debit Card redemptions generally take up to 5 minutes (500 SC maximum), and Bank Transfers typically take 2–5 business days to process (5,000 SC maximum). That said, your first redemption must be via Bank Transfer, and subsequent redemptions can be via Bank Transfer or Debit Card.
