What is Dorados Casino?
Dorados is an exciting and quirky sweepstakes casino platform where you can play casino-style games using virtual currencies, one of which you can redeem for cash prizes, if you fulfill the redemption requirements.
Sweepstakes casinos like Dorados don't use real money. This means that they are legal in some states across the US where real-money sites have been banned. But before you go running off to Dorados, keep in mind that just because it's a sweepstakes casino site, it doesn't mean it's automatically legal everywhere! We'll go into exactly where Dorados is legal in a little while, but for now, let's get to the bottom of these virtual currencies and how they work.
Gold Coins and Gems Explained
Sweepstakes casinos generally use two virtual currencies, usually called Gold Coins (GC) and Sweeps Coins (SC). Gold Coins are your everyday virtual currency that you use to play casino-style games, and in return, you can win more Gold Coins which you then use to continue playing.
Sweeps Coins are also used to play games, but you can redeem them for tangible prizes, usually in the form of gift cards or real cash. In the case of Dorados, the site uses Gold Coins and Gems, the latter of which is the Sweeps Coin equivalent.
In order to redeem your Gems for tangible prizes, you'll need to fulfill the 1x playthrough requirement and have a minimum of 100 redeemable Gems in your account before you make a request. There's no gift card option at Dorados, but you can request for a cash prize to be sent to your bank account.
Elixir - the fantastic third virtual currency!
The reason that we call Dorados ‘quirky’ is that this is one of the few sweepstakes casinos that has introduced a third virtual currency, in the form of Elixir. Like Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, Elixir doesn't have any monetary value, but you can use it like points and convert it into rewards such as free spins or access to the Claw Machine and Lost City features at Dorados.

What can you play at Dorados?
Dorados is one of the most exciting sweepstakes casinos around, offering over a thousand different games from a variety of developers. One of our favorite elements of Dorados is that it hasn't just concentrated on slots like a lot of other platforms have. Instead, there's a great mix here of slots, live dealer games, scratch cards, classic table games and even a bit of bingo!
With that in mind, let's take a better look at exactly what you can dive into when playing at Dorados Casino.
🎰 The latest slots from the biggest developers
At Dorados, you'll find an enormous selection of the hottest slots from big-name developers such as NetEnt, Nolimit City, Mancala, and Red Tiger Gaming. In fact, there's around 50 of the world's most popular software providers that supply the catalog at Dorados Casino, and there's something for everyone here. Whether you're a fan of classic 3-reel fruit machines or the most advanced cluster pays or

🎲 Authentic live dealer games
You can jump straight into Dorados Casino’s live dealer games using the menu button, where you'll find a huge collection of classic titles, as well as some game shows thrown in for good measure. The catalog is largely supplied by titans of industry, Evolution Gaming, who share the load with ICONIC21. Both providers are well known as leaders in the live casino industry, so you're in for a treat when you pop over to the live dealer games area.
💥 Crash games and other entertainment
There's no doubt about it, Crash games are one of the hottest trends in recent years, and Dorados has a great selection for you to get involved in. Surprisingly, there isn't a dedicated Crash section of the site, but you can use the search bar if you know the name of the game you're looking for, or filter by well-known Crash game providers such as 100HP. A little search will bring up titles such as Air Jet, Star X, Dice and Plinko.
Adding even more variety into the mix, Dorados also has some scratch cards, bingo games and even classic video table games for the traditionalists out there as well. All in all, this is one hell of a game collection, and we think that most players would struggle not to enjoy Dorados!
