Boxed.GG claims to offer the ultimate collectibles experience for fans of Counter-Strike, Pokémon, One-Piece, and more. To see if the experience is really worthwhile, we signed up on the website, which led us to create this Boxed.GG review.
We received a free box, and that was just the beginning. There was a lot to explore, from the various boxes available to the Player-vs-Player battles. Here, we will explain how the platform works and cover the features we found. By the end of this review, you’ll be able to decide if Boxed.GG is your next mystery box destination.
Loot Labs launched Boxed.GG in 2022, as a mystery box platform that focuses on trading cards and Counter-Strike skins. Like other mystery box sites, you purchase a box that contains a variety of items. When you open the box, you win one of those items. Boxed.GG uses a provably fair system to ensure the outcome of every unboxing is truly random and not influenced by an external party.
One small feature that we like is the platform’s “spice levels.” It’s basically a color indicator that is pinned to the bottom of every box. It tells you how likely you are to pull valuable items. Here’s how each one works:
Another thing to note is the in-house currency called Gems. These are what you use to purchase mystery boxes on the platform. You can buy Gems using different types of payment methods, which we will cover later in this Boxed.GG review.
At Boxed.GG, you will find different box categories, including the following:
| Pokémon | Boxed.GG’s Pokémon boxes let you digitally unbox real trading cards that can be shipped to you. Categories range from more recent sets, like the Scarlet & Violet era, to older collections. |
| One Piece | These boxes are themed around specific sets or eras, offering a mix of common, rare, and chase cards. A few options we found include Doffy's Crew, Green Zoro, and Big Mom Pirates. |
| Counter-Strike 2 | CS2 boxes focus on in‑game cosmetic skins rather than physical cards. You digitally unbox and receive CS2 skins that you can share or trade via Steam. |
| MTG (Magic: The Gathering) | MTG boxes revolve around physical Magic booster packs or themed collections. You have options such as Future Wastelands, Lorwyn Fractures, Vivi's Magic, and Enter the Void. |
| Lorcana | Lorcana boxes are based on the Disney Lorcana trading card game, providing digital unboxing of physical packs. Boxes are often tied to specific sets or Disney themes, so you will find options like Pixie Dust, Lion's Pride, and Mickey Mouse. |
| Sports | The boxes here revolve around different sports, including baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and golf. Some boxes we found include Baseball Slabs, McDavid Hunt, and 2 Gem Slam Dunk. |
| Riftbound | Riftbound boxes are tied to the digital card game Riftbound. A few boxes in this category are Test Your Luck 6, RiftoLucky, and Bound 2 Be Blessed. |
Boxed.GG gets you into the action by giving you a free box right after you sign up. You don’t need to worry about a Boxed.GG promo code or even a deposit. The bonus is added to your account once you complete the initial registration. Interestingly, you get to choose to box category you want. We selected Pokémon where we pulled Clefable EX – SVO3: Obsidian Flames.
In addition to the free box, Boxed.GG offers limited-time starter packs for new players. We found three options:
The keys can unlock boxes with different values. With a gold key, you can open a box worth 500 to 999 Gems. A silver key unlocks a box worth 200 to 499 Gems, while a Bronze key opens a box worth 50 to 199 Gems.
While opening boxes is the primary feature at Boxed.GG, there are a few additional elements that enhance the overall experience. Check them out below:
The Forge option lets you create a custom box and list it on the platform. Whenever other players open that box, you receive a commission. Here’s how to go about it:
The battles at Boxed.GG is similar to what we found during our PackDraw review. They allow you to compete with other players for an opportunity to win various items. You have two options: join an existing battle or create your own. To join a battle, go through the list of ongoing battles and find those open to new players. Afterward, click the “join” icon.
If you want to be the creator, select “Create Battles” instead. This opens a section where you customize everything about the battle. You select the number of players (2,3,4, or 2v2), the game mode, and the boxes that will be opened during the battle. For the game mode, there are four main options, depending on your selected category:
At first glance, the vending machine looks similar to a regular box, but it is very different. The vending machine can contain up to 250 trading cards, which are regularly updated. You pay to have a go at the machine, and you can randomly win one of the items it features. The provably fair system also kicks in here, ensuring that the outcome is truly random.
Boxed.GG has a dark theme similar to what we found during our MrLoot review. However, unlike MrLoot that has a quirky design, Boxed.GG looks a lot more serious. The background is plain, but you won’t notice much of this because of the various icons and animations happening on various pages. A blue box-head character acts as the mascot. You will find him on various icons on the homescreen.
The website looks busy, but it’s still easy to navigate. When you log in, you’ll find a header that houses major tabs like Games, Rewards, Marketplace, Leaderboard, Get Gems, Refill, Notifications, and your profile icon. The content of the main page then depends on the section you visit.
On each page, the operator provides various filtering options to help you find what you want. A good example is the unboxing section. The different types of boxes are split into multiple categories. Under each category, you have a search icon and options to sort boxes by price and spice level. Every page we visited also loaded quickly.
During our Boxed.GG review, we searched for a mobile application but quickly confirmed that the platform did not have one. This did not bother us much because the website works smoothly on mobile devices. The layout on smaller screens is slightly different, but still easy to navigate. Plus, you have access to all of the site’s offerings, from the mystery boxes to the battles, payment methods, and customer service. For faster access, you can add the website’s icon to the homescreen.
Earlier, we mentioned that you can buy Gems using different types of payment methods. Well, it’s time to talk about those methods. They include debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) and cryptocurrencies.
The least number of Gems you can purchase is 1,000, and that is the equivalent of $10. If you’re using crypto, below is the equivalent of the minimum deposit amount:
| Cryptocurrency | Minimum amount |
| Bitcoin | 0.000134 BTC |
| Ethereum | 0.004209 ETH |
| USD Coin | 10.002483 USDC |
| Tether | 10 USDT |
In addition to fiat and crypto payment methods, Boxed.gg allows you to buy Gems using CS items. If you prefer this option, you’ll be redirected to SkinBack to complete the transaction. Regardless of your preferred payment system, Boxed.GG will process your transaction instantly and credit you the corresponding number of Gems.
When you receive your items, you can withdraw them (in physical form or as crypto), sell them for Gems, trade them on the marketplace, or forge them. Here, we’ll focus on how to withdraw the value of your items as crypto. To do this, open your inventory, click on the item you want, and select “Withdraw.” Then you choose a crypto payment method, post your address, submit your request, and wait for the operator to process it. You will get the amount in your wallet within 24 hours.

Boxed.GG has a fairly comprehensive FAQ page where you can find answers to common questions. If this section does not satisfy you, then reach out via live chat, Discord, or email. With live chat and Discord, you can expect speedy responses, though it can sometimes take up to an hour to be initially connected to a human agent. Sending an email is a great alternative, but responses can take up to 24 hours.

Yes. Although Boxed.GG doesn’t currently need a license to operate; it must check certain security boxes. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. For starters, it is run by Loot Labs, a Seattle-based company. The website itself uses SSL encryption to ensure that all information you share on the platform remains secure. For added safety, you can activate multi-factor authentication.
The provably fair system is another highlight. Thanks to the algorithm, you can verify the fairness of every unboxing using the server seed, client seed, and the nonce. It also has a three-step verification process that it can request at any time. For the first step, you confirm your Discord account; for the second, you verify your phone number; and for the last, you complete identity verification.
You open boxes at Boxed.GG only if you have an active account on the platform. Here’s how to register :
Tap the Boxed.GG link on this page to launch the mystery box site.
Click "sign up" at the top of the page.
Enter your email address and preferred password.
Check the box at the bottom of the page to accept the terms and conditions.
Tap "Create Account" to complete the initial registration.
You can now purchase Gems or redeem Boxed.GG gift codes, if you have any. Once the platform processes your payment and adds the Gems to your account, you open boxes by following these steps:
If this is your first time on a mystery box platform, or you just want to get a feel of the unboxing process, you can try the demo version before opening with Gems. Note that you don’t win whatever item you land in the demo mode.
If you don’t want to withdraw the item’s value as crypto, you can have it shipped to you. Another option is to sell it back to the platform for Gems. Remember that Gems are not withdrawable, so you can only use them to purchase more Boxed.GG mystery boxes. The same applies when you trade your items on the marketplace. Another player can purchase your item, but you’ll receive your payment in Gems.
You can enjoy Boxed.GG for free, but there are also three subscription options you can opt for to unlock even better features. These include bonus Gems, free keys, subscriber-only chat, and discounted shopping vouchers. Below is a simple overview of each one:
| Subscription | Price |
| Plus | $24.98 monthly, $274.78 yearly |
| Pro | $49.98 monthly, $549.78 yearly |
| Ultimate | $199.98 monthly, $2,199.78 yearly |
Boxed.GG has a LuckBack Rewards system that you’re enrolled in after you sign up. As you unbox items and engage in other activities, you get points that count towards your level. There are 6 tiers overall, and the higher you are on the ladder, the better the bonuses you can receive.
With LuckBack, you get “Shards” whenever you land an item that is of lower value than the box itself. These Shards can be exchanged for various items and keys in the LuckBack section. Other promotions to look forward to include:
After our Boxed.GG review, we can confirm that the platform does offer a well-rounded collectible experience. It has a wide variety of boxes you can open, including those with Pokémon, Sports, Lorcana, and One Piece cards. The prices of these boxes also vary widely, which is great as you’ll definitely find something within your budget.
Boxed.GG’s free welcome bonus is another perk that you get once you sign up. Then, you can take advantage of daily rewards, participate in Gem Missions, and rank on leaderboards. Overall, Boxed.GG is a mystery box site that is worth trying. You can check out the platform yourself by tapping the link we’ve provided on this page.
Even though there are subscription options at Boxed.GG, you do not have to pay to use the platform. The free version also offers a great experience.
KYC is not compulsory right after registration, but the operator can request it at any time.
The price range depends on the category you want. Also, note that the amounts are displayed in Gems, with 1 Gem equivalent to 1 cent.
