Fanatics is fantastic. These guys offer excellent sportsbook odds to bettors based anywhere from Maryland to Massachusetts – but when will Fanatics be legal in Kentucky? Has a big launch date been earmarked yet?
Put simply, no – there’s still a haze of uncertainty shrouding the topic, as no concrete announcements have been officially made. That said, rumors abound that Fanatics could, maybe, set up shop in The Bluegrass State as soon as late-September…
Can you bet on Fanatics in Kentucky?
They’re very much up-in-the-air, unfortunately. As you may or may not have heard, retail sports betting, which has until recently been unregulated in KY, has been undergoing something of a revamp this month. Here’s what we know so far:
| What’s changing? |
Online sports betting is
in the process of going live
in the state – meaning you can expect regulated sportsbooks to pop-up across KY. |
| Is in-person sports betting legal yet? |
Retail sports betting was launched in KY on September 7, 2023. |
| What about
online
sports betting? |
It’s earmarked for September 28 – though only a handful of operators have confirmed a definite launch for this date.

Those of you who’ve checked out our recent
FanDuel online casino reviews
will know that some operators, FanDuel and DraftKings among them, will launch KY websites and apps pretty much as soon as online betting goes live. The outlook for Fanatics, however, isn’t quite so certain…

Is Fanatics legal in KY?
For now, it’s a no, we’re afraid. There’s no question whatsoever around whether
Fanatics is legit, mind – the operator is currently live in four US states, it’s just that no announcements have been made regarding whether they intend to enter into the KY market anytime soon.
Having said that, some commentators are anticipating a launch could be just around the corner, as it’s rumored that the operator received a temporary betting license for KY recently. This rumor hasn’t been officially verified, though of course, we’ll update you if we hear anything.
So, there isn’t much info to share right now. Can you bet on Fanatics in Kentucky yet? Not right now. Will you be able to in the near future? Who knows. But our experts at TheGameHaus are monitoring the situation like hawks. Patience, guys…
