How to access Deadlock’s surprising hero lore

Deadlock, despite being in early access, already has some lore built out for its many heroes in the form of their Hero Background. This can be accessed in-game if you want to get to know this quirky cast of characters a bit more and further understand the Deadlock universe.

How to see Deadlock lore: Hero Backgrounds

There is already a lot of lore built into Deadlock, but players may not have thought to check it. Similar to the way you access Builds in Deadlock, there is a button you can get to by navigating through the Heroes tab and selecting an individual hero that gives you access to their background and lore. Once you are on a hero’s screen, you find this in the top left corner where it says Background.

This should give you a wall of text on the right side of your screen where you can read about each hero, their place in the game, and more. Check out your favorite hero to learn more about them!
