Grand Theft Auto VI finally lands on PS5 and Xbox consoles on November 19, and the countdown has turned into a season of its own. Rockstar dropped the launch trailer on October 15, pre-orders have been open since June, and Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick described early demand as “unprecedented and astonishing.” That still leaves some time to fill, so here is what fans are actually doing with it.
GTA Online is still the default hangout, and Take-Two has confirmed it will keep running after GTA 6 arrives, so the hours you put in now aren’t wasted. Plenty of players also kill time inside GTA Online’s own casino, the Diamond Casino & Resort, where losing a few million in-game chips at the roulette wheel hurts for about five seconds. Adults who want the real-money version often move to live tables like Evolution’s Lightning Roulette. After the lightning roulette login on a casino site, players get a live dealer stream with random multipliers added to standard payouts.
The annual Halloween event runs through early November, with a fresh weekly challenge every Thursday:
That adds up to half a million GTA$ and three outfits for a few relaxed evenings of play.
A lot of fans are using the wait to revisit older Rockstar games, partly for nostalgia and partly as homework. GTA 6 brings the series back to Vice City, so the 2002 original is a fun point of comparison. GTA V is worth a look too, since its three-protagonist story is the closest reference for Jason and Lucia’s dual leads, while Red Dead Redemption 2 shows how detailed Rockstar’s NPC behavior has become.

If you only have time for one, pick the cowboy epic. Released in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 was the last brand-new open world Rockstar shipped, which makes it the closest thing to a GTA 6 preview you can play today.
The boring prep work saves the most frustration on launch night. GTA 6 will be console-only at launch, playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, while PC players still have no release date from Rockstar.
Digital pre-orders unlock pre-loading on November 12, and physical copies ship the same day. The game itself launches on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The Standard Edition costs $79.99, the Ultimate Edition $99.99, and pre-ordering by November 20 adds the Vintage Vice City pack plus a month of GTA+. Clear drive space early, before servers get packed on the 12th.
The launch trailer handed the community plenty of fresh material. It shows Jason’s military past, his job at Brian Heder’s marina in the Leonida Keys, and Lucia calling him from prison, plus a new track called Flower in a Hurricane featuring Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Reddit threads are now breaking down every frame.
Leaks are the flip side of all that attention. A leaker known as Cyberleek has been posting alleged gameplay footage and file size details ahead of launch. To avoid spoilers, add words like GTA 6 leak to your muted words list on X and skip YouTube videos that promise leaked footage in the title.
The smartest plan mixes a little of everything: finish the Halloween challenges, replay one older Rockstar game, and clear storage before November 12. Do that, and the first drive through Vice City will feel worth every single day of waiting.
