WWE 2K’s annual video game has released on the Road to WrestleMania bringing together the best of the best from the past, present, and newcomers from AAA and NXT. With so many superstars from across the company’s many eras it is always fun to compare the overalls as we get a look at which legends from today can stand atop the mountain alongside the legendary figures of the past, and who pales in comparison to the all time greats.
A Sweepstakes online casino would run out of cash betting on the fights between some of these names but in 2K we can see dream matches unfold before our very eyes and decide who really is the creme de la creme.
John Cena – 97
2025 was a major year for the WWE as they said goodbye to their self-proclaimed GOAT with the retirement of John Cena. Mister Never Give Up captured a record breaking 17th world championship at WrestleMania before embarking on a global tour that saw fans across the world cherish the grand slam champion one last time. He walks into WWW 2K as one of its two undisputed greats.
Stone Cold Steve Austin – 97
The leader of the Attitude Era, Stone Cold marked his place in the history books by taking pro wrestling to the mainstream in the 1990s. His feud with Vince McMahon saw him become one of the industry’s biggest stars as he opened cans of whoop ass on everyone in sight. While we never got to see the two wrestle, he and John Cena are rightfully considered the two greatest Superstars in history with the joint-highest overall in the game.
The Rock ‘01 – 96
While Cena largely did it alone, Stone Cold had a rival that was almost as popular and talented as he was. The Rock and Steve Austin were the two names that defined the WWF during one of its most popular eras with a trio of WrestleMania matches against one another. The Rock slots in just below two men who he fought at the Showcase of The Immortals, likely due to him splitting time with his movie career soon after the turn of the millennium.
Undertaker – 96
The holder of the greatest streak in WrestleMania history, the Undertaker ended his career with a record of 25-2 on the biggest stage, having started with a legendary 21-0 streak of wins that ended at the hands of another name on this ranking. The Deadman was a multiple time world champion who had longevity stretching through the 90s and 00s where he ended up becoming one of the main stars of SmackDown, representing the brand for a number of years as the equaliser to bad guys everywhere.
Brock Lesnar ‘13 – 95
The man who ended The Streak, the Beast Incarnate, once dubbed the Next Big Thing, Brock Lesnar took the WWE by storm in the early 00s before leaving to embark on a career in the NFL before eventually ending up in the UFC. He ended his long hiatus from WWE in the 2010s and returned with not only freakish strength and agility, but a run as the UFC World Heavyweight Champion to his name. At this point in time, he was nigh-on unstoppable, with a loss to Cena only enraging him further and turning him into a monster unlike anything we’d ever seen before.
