XDefiant Open Beta Crossplay Issues Fix

Publish Date: June 22, 2023

With the beta in full throttle, players are having issues with the XDefiant Open Beta Crossplay functionality not being able to play with friends on different systems. With less than a day left in the Beta, players are wondering if there are any fixes available for this error.

Crossplay

To the players who have been struggling to initiate crossplay with friends on different consoles don’t be fooled, The full game along with the XDefiant open beta does have full crossplay support between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series XlS, and PC. During the beta, however, there have been reported issues of the future not properly working. XDefiant via Twitter acknowledged that there is a problem with the in-game party system and will be investigating the situation.

In terms of a fix, there actually aren’t any available solutions. At this current time, the ball is in Ubisoft’s court to remedy the situation. A suggestion for gamers wanting to play with friends on different consoles is to make sure crossplay functionality is turned on in the settings and then queue up for a match at the same time.

Roadmap

As of right now, the Year 1 Roadmap for XDefiant has confirmed the addition of 14 maps, 5 factions, and 24 maps. The Year 1 content schedule though will only include 4 new factions, 12 new weapons, and new maps. Here’s exactly what’s taking place during the next 4 seasons:

Season 1 – Codename Ruby

  • 3 new weapons
  • 3 new maps
  • 90 Tiers Battle Pass

Season 2 – Codename Buzz

  • 3 new weapons
  • 3 new maps
  • 90 Tiers Battle Pass

Season 3 – Codename Orchard

  • 3 new weapons
  • 3 new maps
  • 90 Tiers Battle Pass
