World of Warcraft has been the top MMO for nearly 20 years now and even still, fans are waiting for new expansions. Luckily for them, Blizzard and the World of Warcraft Dev team are still hard at work. On April 19, 2022, the latest expansion for World of Warcraft was announced, Dragonflight. Now fans will be wondering, what is the World of Warcraft Dragonflight Release Date?

As the name would suggest dragons are involved in a major way for World of Warcraft. Fans will be traveling to the often referred to but never seen Dragon Isles. After much time away, the islands were awakened so that the Dragons could return. Fans will get to explore five brand-new areas filled to the brim with dragons.
While this is exciting enough, players will get to do more than just see the dragons. They will be able to be them and ride them. For starters, the first-ever race and class combination will be coming to World of Warcraft. They are called the Dracthyr Evoker. Players will be able to change between their more humanoid form and a dragon form. This expansion will have a brand new starting area just for the Dracthyr Evokers.
Along with this, players are going to be able to fly their own dragon as Dragonriders. This is a new skill that players can grind out. These dragons will be fully customizable and should bring about a lot of new ways for players to make their way around the Dragon Isles. The new mounts will be available basically from the start of the new expansion.
As for the release date, currently, Blizzard is taking requests to join the beta. In the reveal video they also stated that they would be doing alpha testing soon. That makes it seem likely that the World of Warcraft Dragonflight Release Date will be no sooner than the end of 2022 or early 2023. Once more is known, this article will be updated to reflect that.
