A new RTS game from veteran developers of StarCraft and Warcraft III is coming to a PC near you. Stormgate has been in closed alpha and beta for some time now. They have been honing and balancing the game and now it is ready for you. To help you get ready for Stormgate, let’s get some answers to important questions such as, will Stormgate be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Stormgate will not be on Xbox Game Pass.
This is mainly because you can download Steam for free and play Stormgate for free as well. As stated above you can pay for it if you want extra content or to play earlier. This is available for $24.99, $39.99 and $59.99. It seems unlikely that it will end up on Xbox Game Pass as well considering it is an already free game but with it being on PC it could be added to that portion of Game Pass in the future.
The Stormgate Release Date will be on August 13, 2024.
But, if you pre-purchase the game you will be able to play it a full two weeks earlier on July 30, 2024. This is truthfully a big surprise to many. While we have known about the game for some time, it did not feel as though they would be taking the direct step to release this soon. Many had anticipated later in 2024 or early in 2025. Instead, we are getting a look at potentially the next great RTS much sooner.
Also this is the one time where pre-purchasing something actually helps. You will be able to support the developers and get the game much earlier than most.
The Stormgate gameplay is very similar to StarCraft and many other RTS.
If you want to be very good, key bindings and knowing how to get a great early start are paramount. If you are unable to do that, you will not be able to climb the rankings very quickly. Otherwise if you are just looking for fun and likely a game that will have a lot of mods the same way that StarCraft did, then this is the perfect new RTS for you to give a try.
