For RTS fans who love Space games, Stellaris has been the king for the past half a decade. Move over, Homeworld is back with its third installment and it is looking to bring a lot of new elements to it. Even for those who have never played the series, this game looks to be one that will cause you to sink many hours and potentially lose track of time while playing. Now fans are going to want to know, will Homeworld 3 be available for Crossplay?

No, Homeworld 3 will not be available for Crossplay.
This is because it will only be available on PC. With a strategy game this complex it may be tough for it to see time on any consoles. That being said, consoles are getting more and more strategy games with their hardware getting stronger. It is not impossible that Homeworld 3 could be on other devices in the future but it is unlikely.
After being pushed back to later in 2024, the Homeworld 3 Release Date is coming soon, on May 13, 2024 to be exact.
Many had hoped that Homeworld 3 would be able to stick to its original 2023 release date but it looks like the devs decided they needed more time to cook. This is likely refreshing for a lot of fans, especially with an RTS or just a strategy game in general. Too often games have been released without being polished or finished. Instead, Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox pushed things back,
Sadly, Homeworld 3 will not be on Xbox Game Pass, at least not initially.
In fact, it will just be available on PC, more specifically on Steam. This will certainly disappoint Xbox and PlayStation fans but for games as big and vast with so many small mechanics needed, Homeworld 3 would be hard to play on consoles. This is not to say a version of this game with easier controls can’t come out for the main gaming systems, it is just unlikely.
That being said, the likelihood it could eventually be on Xbox Game Pass is much higher. This would be for PC only to be clear though.
Homeworld 3’s gameplay is like a traditional RTS but in space. There will be a major campaign that has a story following the events of Homeworld 2 which was released over 20 years ago at this point.
Because of this, fans can expect a lot of new gameplay, graphics and so much more with the Homeworld 3 release. One area they are dipping their toes into is a roguelike structure within the game. This certainly sounds interesting and will be worth watching for once the game releases.
You can wishlist Homeworld 3 on Steam now so that you do not miss the release of the highly anticipated RTS.
