One of the most important aspects of Civilization 7 is the narrator. This epic voice will help you not only know what is going on but also give background as you play. In the past they have used some incredible voice actors and for Civ 6 they used the biggest name to date in Sean Bean. Will Civ 7 be able to top that? Sid Meier’s Civilization VII – Narrator Reveal Trailer
Known for Game of Thrones as Brienne of Tarth and Captain Phasma from Star Wars this was a major surprise. They decided to go back to a Game of Thrones alumni and the first female narrator. It will be interesting to see the reaction but she does seem to have another fantastic voice to help you enjoy a Civilization game.
We were given so much more than many had anticipated at Gamescom. As this is one of the biggest gaming events of the year, we knew before hand that we were getting a Civ 7 gameplay reveal of 20 minutes. The surprise came with a trailer that was shown in the middle of the event.
In this trailer we were finally shown the art style which is a nice mix of more realistic from Civ 5 but a little less serious and more blocky like in Civ 6. Along with this we were shown many of the different cultures and even a few leaders. Most importantly, we finally have rivers added as a major part of the game. This will likely be a major addition and many fans should be excited to see this.
