Fresh off the holidays and the Steam Winter sales, they have officially ended. PC gamers such as myself loaded up their libraries with all kinds of discounted titles. Most of which will inevitably end up in the backlog. With players constantly adding new games to their Wishlist, there’s just one burning question. When is the next Steam Sale?
It’s more common to see Steam Sales around the major Holidays. These holidays are Christmas, Halloween, and even Black Friday. The same can be said for seasons, as there have been many Spring, Summer, and Winter sales in the past. In addition to the seasonal sales, Steam is actually implementing events called spotlight fests. This sale will still provide discounts on various games; however, they will be more niche-themed rather than broad-based.

The duration of Steam sales can vary. For instance, the Steam Winter sale lasted around 2 weeks in 2026. This sale encompasses Christmas but also the New Year. With people traveling and gamers potentially receiving new PCs for the first time, more time has been allotted for the sale. However, the Spring Sale this year is only a week, and the spotlight fests are either 4 or 7.
