What Is The Bayonetta 3 Release Date?

The last time gamers heard anything about the Bayonetta series was this past September. Now ten months later, without warning, Nintendo unexpectedly released the Bayonetta 3 release date.

It was almost five years ago since the first announcement of the third installment in the Bayonetta series. In September 2021, Bayonetta came out from hiding with a small in-game trailer. After that, the cycle repeated itself. Since then the game has been almost MIA from different videogame showcases such as the Nintendo Direct.

Video game leaker, Syluxhunter, on July 12 claimed on Twitter that gamers can expect Bayonetta 3 news of some kind on July 13. Earlier than that, they also stated on June 25, that Bayonetta 3 would release on October 28. They were correct. Today Nintendo gave a release date of October 28 2022 for the installment. In the past Twitter user, Syluxhunter has a history of being accurate with other Nintendo leaks such as the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC and various Nintendo Direct schedulings and info.

Within this new trailer, Bayonetta can be seen with a new ability. This new ability is called Demon Masquerade. With this, Bayonetta can now channel the demon linked to her weapon for “exciting action options” and “hair-raising combos”. Bayonetta can also summon demons for “new, larger-than-life battles” where players can directly control the action and flow of battle. Not only will players be playing as Bayonetta, but players will also control the feisty witch-in-training Viola, and her feline demon, Cheshire.

Following this release date trailer was also the announcement of a physical launch of the original Bayonetta. The physical copies will arrive on September 30. Bayonetta 3 launches on the Nintendo Switch on October 28.
