Fans all over who have dedicated their lives to following the key wielder’s adventures found their loyalty rewarded. Nomura has given us the final chapter of Dark Road, a new mobile game taking place in Scala Ad Caelum, and Kingdom Hearts 4. But what is the Kingdom Hearts 4 Release Date?

Unfortunately, there is literally no official information regarding this. Considering Kingdom Hearts 3 released more than a decade after its sequel, Kingdom Hearts 4 may take a couple more years to develop. A hopeful speculated release date would be early 2023. But chances are, it’ll take far longer. The fact that the developers haven’t even shown a year is a terrible sign. The game’s development is far from finished. So far that they can’t even commit to a designated year for the release date.
Especially considering Kingdom Hearts Missing Link begins its closed beta in 2022, it’s unrealistic to expect Kingdom Hearts 4 to release any time in 2022. The Kingdom Hearts team is infamous for taking their time with their game entries, and a two game release within the same year is unheard of from them.
Kingdom Hearts 3’s incredibly late release stands as an anomaly, and not a standard practice. In other words, hopefully it won’t take another decade before the Kingdom Hearts 4 release date.
The footage of Kingdom Hearts 4 shown in The Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary event surprised fans all over the world. It’s great news that work and development for the next main line entry has begun. But it may be months before more news reveals for the game. And it may even be years before the official Kingdom Hearts 4 release date.
