During The Game Awards, 2022 studio Supergiant announced the sequel to their popular title Hades. During the Showcase, it was announced there will be a Hades 2 Early Access date sometime in 2023. Here’s the latest info on the title along with when it will be available in early access.
Hades 2 this time around will feature a female protagonist, the Princess of the Underworld. From what gamers can tell from the trailers, she will be training under an unknown masked mentor. What she’s training for is a goal. It’s revealed that the goal in Hades 2 is to kill Chronos, the primordial god of time.
As stated on the Steam client “As the immortal Princess of the Underworld, you’ll explore a bigger, deeper mythic world, vanquishing the forces of the Titan of Time with the full might of Olympus behind you, in a sweeping story that continually unfolds through your every setback and accomplishment.”
From the gameplay that has been revealed so far, it appears that it will be following the same formula that made the first Hades such a big hit. The same fast-paced, roguelike dungeon-crawler.
Hades 2 is currently available to wishlist on Steam and on the Epic Store. Supergiant game is going to be developing Hades 2 in a comparable way to Hades. Hades 2 will be entering an early access state sometime in the first quarter of 2023.
The first Hades had won various awards and even made an appearance at The Game Awards 2018. If Hades 2 is anything like its predecessor, gamers should have high hopes for this sequel.
