The last time players saw Kratos, he was living a peaceful life in Midgard – tending to his small cabin and raising his son Atreus. It wasn’t until one untimely visitor came by and shook things up that called Kratos and Atreus to action. The two fought through several regions from Norse Mythology, with their journey through the realms continuing in God of War Ragnarök.
The recent announcement also noted a brand new trailer for the game. Santa Monica Studios shared a new CG trailer that features the two protagonists facing off against new monsters and new challenges. Players can check out the new cinematic here.
Fans will need to be patient for the sequel though. The God of War Ragnarök release date is set for November.
