What a shot! Eh? Backyard Sports are back and ready to take up even more of your time. So far, a few older games have been released but there are still many that need to make their way to Steam. With that, here is what we know about the Backyard Hockey 2002 Steam Release Date.
There is no official Backyard Hockey 2002 Steam Release Date, yet.
We do know that it is expected to be released sometime in 2025. What is interesting is that Backyard Baseball 1997 and Backyard Soccer 1998 were released a little over a month apart at the end of 2024. Since then, we have been in a bit of a dry spell.
Many fans hoped that this one would be next on the list and come out sometime in early 2025. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. That being said, it does look like it will be the last game that gets added to Steam in 2025, as it has been pointed out that they are going in chronological order.
Considering they still have four games that are expected to come out soon, one could safely assume that this one will release sometime in November or December of 2025.

There have been teasers and rumors of new games coming out ever since Playground Productions bought the rights to the franchise.
They may not be saying it directly, but it feels like they are working on new games as these older ones find their way to Steam. As they work their way through getting player and team rights, the obstacles will continue to go down, one by one. After that, we should expect new versions of the classic games to release even as early as 2026.
