Xbox Game Pass Core was a new service announced by Microsoft that will take the place of Xbox Live Gold starting September 14th, 2023. One of the benefits that was included in the 20-plus year service was the Xbox Games with Gold program which gave Gold members a certain amount of games for free per month. Now that it’s gone, will games be given out for free on Game Pass Core?
With the previous benefit of Games with Gold going away, Microsoft is giving out games to players through a different method. Players who are Xbox Game Pass Core members will have access to the following 25 games on Game Pass Core starting September 14.
On September 14, Xbox Live Gold members will automatically become Game Pass Core members, with no change in pricing. This means players won’t have to worry about an increase in Xbox Game Pass Core Cost. However, below are the different subscription versions players will have access to if they wish to upgrade or change subscriptions.
