With it being compared to “Soulslike” games it’s no surprise that gamers are curious as to what the Remnant 2 difficulty differences are. With four different difficulty settings to choose from here are all the differences and what players can expect from the difficulty options.
As mentioned previously Remnant 2 will have four different difficulty choices. Going from easiest to hardest players can choose from Survivor, Veteran, Nightmare, and Apocalypse. Each difficulty has different factors that increase the harder the setting. Those factors are Exp, Mob Hp. Mob Damage, Boss HP, and Boss Damage. Here’s a list explaining what effects will take place when each difficulty is set.
Difficulty Level | Exp | Mobs HP | Mobs DMG | Boss HP | Boss DMG | Game Description |
Survivor | 100% | 100% | 100% | 100% | 100% | A solid starting point for most players. |
Veteran | 115% | 150% | 165% | 165% | 165% | A more demanding experience with tougher and deadlier enemies. An excellent choice for players that enjoy a challenge. |
Nightmare | 130% | 250% | 350% | 312.5% | 262% | Ruthlessly brutal. Designed for fully geared players with strong builds and a desire for an unforgiving experience. Not recommended as a starting point. |
Apocalypse | 150% | 275% | 450% | 412% | 405% | Good Luck |
If Remnant 2 ever gets too challenging or is too easy the difficulty setting isn’t permanent and can be tweaked at any time during a playthrough. To do so all players need is the World Stone. Before doing so gamers need to understand that changing the Difficulty Level will completely erase all progress that has been made in the World. The character and equipment earned however will be carried over. Remnant 2 can either be a single-player experience or played with 2 other friends. While there currently is no evidence of coop scaling, Remnant 2 has drop-in and drop-out co-op allowing gamers to seamlessly pop in and out of friends’ games. There is a shared loot pool so items are included in everyone’s inventory when picked up by someone else in the game.
