After nearly a decade, Planet Coaster is getting a sequel. The popular Roller Coaster sandbox game, by Frontier, got its first trailer after rumors were swirling of a new game. They did not get complicated with naming this sequel either, it will simply be called, Planet Coaster 2. Now that we have fan’s attention, you probably have some questions. Such as, what are the Planet Coaster 2 Pre Order Bonuses?

As of the writing of this, there are no Planet Coaster 2 Pre Order Bonuses.
There is a good chance that will change once they actually announce the release date. For now, you can probably plan on pre ordering but you will need to wait and see what you will receive in doing so.
As of the initial writing of this article, the Planet Coaster 2 Release date is slated for Fall of 2024.
This could mean as early as September and as late as November. Feels like the game must be pretty close to completion since they announced it and the release date is less than six months away. That being said, if they have people playtesting it soon and not enjoying it then they can push it back to the end of the year of early 2025.
This feels unlikely as it looks like mostly a graphical update with a lot of extra features thrown in. Meaning, that the base game will likely stay the same and they shouldn’t hopefully need to change the release date.
As of not it does not look like Planet Coaster 2 will be on Xbox Game Pass.
That being said, it certainly could be as Planet Coaster 1 was on Game Pass for some time. It was removed in 2021 but its sequel could easily make its way to Game Pass even on Day 1. We will likely have to wait on the official release date to see if it will make its way to Game Pass but it would not be surprising to see it be added.
The Planet Coaster 2 Gameplay looks very similar to the original game.
Truthfully, that should not be a surprise with a game like this. There are not a ton of major changes that should need to be made. Think about Roller Coaster Tycoons 1 and 2. It took a major graphical overhaul and complete change in style in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for the game to truly feel different. We should expect better graphics, new coasters and ride types and likely better ways of theming your park.
