This should not be a big surprise as it was announced that the first game, Monster Hunter Stories would be coming with it. This is a full remaster of the original game which was released back in 2021. Fans are currently able to pre order the game as well.
No, unfortunately, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will not be on Xbox Game Pass.
It will be out as the title suggests on the Nintendo Switch but also on PlayStation 4 and Steam. That means that it will be on PC but not on Game Pass. There is a chance that in the future it could make its way to Game Pass since the PC port will exist. But for now, it is likely going to remain on the two consoles from Japan and computers.
The Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin gameplay will be very similar to how it was upon its initial release. You will go around getting your monsties and trying to get the stronger ones. You are a rider and the goal is to get them all.
Battling will be the same where it goes into turn-based battles once you run into the fight. This will see you as the rider attacking and your monstie doing their attacks at your command as well.
