This is not the only good news though, the first two games are also getting remakes in the same way. They will not be releasing before or even at the same time as 3 though. Instead they will be getting released sometime in early 2025.
For the most part this will be due to the fact that the third one in this franchise is one of the most popular JRPGs ever made and did well in the west as well as in the east.

It was a bit surprising to see the price for this. While it is a remake, it looks as if they truly remade the entire game. So the price tag makes sense in that regard. What is interesting is that this pricing matches more with the Nintendo Switch instead of the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S pricing. They obviously could have gone for the extra $10 but decided not to which should hopefully help their fans.
The Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake gameplay will be the same as it was before.
You will be playing as a certain group of characters and will have turn-based combat. Mana will also be important to balance with help to make sure that you are able to make your way through the incredible story. Because while the combat and RPG elements are fun, this game is most memorable for the ability to combine that with and incredible story.
