With releases such as the ROG Xbox Ally, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Meta Quest 3, one might believe there would be no more major system releases in 2025. To gamers’ surprise, developers Valve had a trick up its sleeve. First, there was the Steam controller, then VR, the Steam Deck, and now the Valve Steam Machine. Here’s everything to know about the Steam Machine Valve has been working on. This includes the Steam Machine release date, features, and more.
Valve’s Steam Machine can easily be summarized as yet again a portable PC. The machine is in a small cube that is roughly 6-inch inches. It’s small enough to fit underneath a TV or even go into a travel bag. What separates this new Steam Machine from the Steam Deck is that the Steam Machine can play your whole gaming library with no restrictions. It can also be broadcast to any display, allowing for PC gaming to be on the big screen. The Steam Machine will always be considered a PC, but its more optimized for gamers who currently don’t possess a PC setup or those who prefer the comfort of their living room for gaming. Currently, there is no set price on the Steam Machine Console as it was only recently announced. However, here is a set release date. This PC is set to release sometime in 2026 next year.
