The August Title Update for College Football 26 brought many changes to the game, including several that affect its gameplay. So, we thought we should quickly look at what changes you should be making now that the update has been live for enough time to do some testing.
Running, in general, feels much better after the update, especially on plays where you can load up one side of the field and run behind blockers with newer, better logic. There are nuanced changes to blocking, but in general, running feels much better. So, simply put, I would recommend running the ball a lot more in your next game!
In the update, specifically on Cover 2 Match, developers noted, “Logic Improvements for defenders guarding inside and vertical routes, especially in formations like bunches and stacks. Improved defense against outside throws and motion-heavy offenses.”

I typically have stayed away from Cover 2 prior to this update, but have now found it much more consistent and viable, whether it be Tampa or Match. It’s still worth being aware and careful for verts, but you can handle much more variance overall in this formation, post-update.

According to devs, “Increased pass rush effectiveness on Heisman and All-American. Decreased pass rush effectiveness on lower difficulties.”
