The Expanse: A Telltale Series is exactly what it is, a Telltale perspective based on Prime Video’s hit sci-fi show. Gamers will be playing as Camina Drummer, and explore the dangerous and uncharted edges of The Belt aboard the Artemis. “From scavenging wrecked ships in a zero-g environment to surviving a mutiny to combating fearsome pirates, you make the difficult choices and reveal Camina Drummer’s resolve in this latest Telltale adventure.”
While The Expanse is available on Prime Video, anybody who is interested in playing the Telltale version does not have to watch the series. All the events that will take place in the game will have transpired prior to Season One of the show.
It’s been about 4 years since gamers have last seen any work from Telltale. The last dated work is The Walking Dead – The Final Season. With The Expanse, Telltale has stated that gameplay will be an evolution of what they have done in the past. Gameplay will be intertwined with zero-g, walking on walls, and new ways to navigate open-up exploration.
The Expanse: A Telltale Series is set to launch on Xbox One / X|S, Playstation 5 / Playstation 4, and PC on July 27.
