There are more changes coming to WoTLK Classic than we thought. Initially, the premise was to revive the original version and do so without any alterations, but it seems not to be the case any more. So, tune in today and let’s find out what changes are coming to our beloved expansion with the Classic version.
The first thing that we should note is that the Dungeon Finder will not make it to the Lich King. Although, the developers are still going to add some sort of tool that won’t sacrifice the human-to-human interaction that is so treasured in the community. For those of you counting on various Lich King rating boost services, you should also keep this in mind as the way these services operate in the game might change. This is, of course, for those who are looking to hire a guild or a team of professional players to help them with the Lich King rating farm or other similar task that requires a team. The new tool will be somewhat similar to what players have in the modern version of the game. On top of that, the developers are reviewing the number of required heroic raids that players will have to complete. This is to make the usual and heroic difficulties more viable.
Another update for faction changes and races in general is in the works. These services will not be available in WoTLK. Unike Lich King rating farming, paid faction and race change doesn’t add anything to the balance of the factions. In fact, in British Columbia, these services were causing more problems than anything else. The developers have taken that into account and are now instead working on balancing the racial abilities to make the races of both factions relevant. How they are going to do it is an open question. Perhaps we will see a mirroring method just like the Seal of the Martyr for the Alliance and the Seal of Blood for the Horde from BC. Either way, players will likely find Lich King RBG boost services more demanding than ever. Another possibility is that the developers will allow players to use any racial ability in a PvP match. In other words, every PvP match will be different, which is insane! Finally, they might decide to remove the racial abilities from PvP all together. The final verdict is yet to be known. These are just the ideas that were shared during the public news outlet from the devs that is working on the expansion. Now, let’s discuss the problem of faction imbalance and Winter Grasp.
Between buying WoW WoTLK rating boost and other regular in-game goals, a big question for every WoW fan is how to choose a faction and not join the outnumbered side. But it’s not just about being one of the outcasts. It’s winning the Winter Grasp, which in turn provides access to a dungeon. And if your faction can’t win, that dungeon is locked for you. That’s why faction switching will not be available: to not make the gap between factions even greater. But how to give an equal chance for both factions to gain access to the same content? Surely this might not be on your radar per se, maybe all you’re interested in is the wow lich king rating farm and the rest is just not your concern. But for the majority of WoW fans, this is a big issue. So, the developers have a couple of ideas on how to solve this issue.
One of the solutions is to increase the effectiveness of the Tenacity buff, which is applied to the outnumbered faction that increases the most important parameters such as max HP, DMG dealt, and so on. This potentially means that one guy on the outnumbered side might become as strong as the WoW Wotlk raid bosses. This all could turn into a pretty interesting gameplay situation if this was received positively in the community.
Another possible solution is to add a “backdoor” for a faction that doesn’t own a Winter Grasp to still get access to the raid. This might be the best fix since in that raid people can find the most important gear sets for PvP, which will make Lich King 2v2 arena boost easier. The weekly raiding quests are the main source of rewards, and that is what most players will be focusing on as soon as they become available. So, giving the other faction an opportunity to raid with everyone else will simply ensure healthier PvP in general. That’s not to say that the raid itself is very enjoyable to explore and fight through!
There are several WoW Lich King raids and the developers will attempt to rebalance the boss encounters, making them more fun to fight against. It has been explicitly stated that this will not be a thing in the WoTLK Classic. In TBC we had pre-nerfed bosses, which then got nerfed later on to allow all players to enjoy these encounters and catch up in terms of gear with everyone else. Blizzard intends to keep the nerf and perhaps make it customizable. The number of stacks might become selectable, so that your group may essentially select the difficulty of boss encounters and try out different strategies. The Vault of Archavon boost will still be as popular as it is deemed to be, just like the other similar raid services, so no worries there.
Yet another change might come to the class specializations. It may, for example, concentrate on dual talent specialization.Basically, the developers aren’t going to add additional restrictions to the pull of the existing ones. So far, there is a casting time to change the spec. The function is also not available during combat, a battleground match, or an arena match. There’s no instant switching. These restrictions were in the original version and they will reappear in the final Classic version. Right now, if anyone wanted to clear a raid but picked the wrong spec, they are in a lot of trouble. One could use a service such as Naxxramas Carry and complete the raid, but having the ability to switch specs when not in combat is a welcome and much-awaited feature.
There are lots of potential changes that may come to the Ring of Valor. There’s talk of removing some of the moving parts from the arena. However, it seems that the developers are dedicated to making the first season of PvP as fun as possible, so expect to see a lot of traps and obstacles in the arena. Perhaps some of the banned items of equipment will become available. As more seasons arrive, the tone of these battles will shift to something more mature and balanced. At least that’s what the developers have shared so far.
All in all, we can see that the only reason the developers are making these changes is to enhance the gameplay loop. As much as we loved WoTLK, it had some issues. Plus, if we take into account the history of the previous classic versions of expansions, most of the upcoming changes are rather welcoming. With the Obsidian Sanctum bosses and other encounters being adjusted due to the selectable intensity of a nerf, we will have a better raiding experience.
Lastly, if you’re excited about all of the changes but worried that you might not have the time to explore everything the upcoming expansion will offer, there’s an excellent in-game services provider that can help you with achieving long-term gaming goals. They offer services such as Onyxia’s Lair boost for clearing this raid and many others a required number of times. Their extensive roster of professional players is up to any task. Be it the Icecrown Citadel carry in the upcoming WoTLK release or simply leveling and gearing, you can always count on these guys to deliver the best and fastest results. A huge number of more mature gamers whose schedule doesn’t allow them to play often use these services to catch up with their in-game guild members and raid together or do other stuff. If you are interested in these services, check out Lfcarry. Until next time!
