During Summer Games Fest, we were shown some games we expected and others we did not. One of the fun and unexpected games was a new Scott Pilgrim game. Here is a look at the reveal for Scott Pilgrim EX.
Scott Pilgrim EX will have input from the original writer and will feature the two main characters already known to fans.
Scott will be joined by Ramona Flowers as they take on a completely new adventure. This will see them fighting across space, time and the streets of Toronto. While they will be the main characters, there will be seven different playable characters. This game will feature Scott and Ramona fighting off three rival gangs, the VEGANS, ROBOTS and the DEMONS. This will certainly allow for players to dive deeper into the Scott Pilgrim lore.
The gamplay looks similar but it will be more complex than before. You will be able to do combos with other players. It will still be a 2-D sidescrolling Arcade-styled game. But, you will be able to do co-op and online co-op which will help in today’s online world.
Outside of that there will be weird and whacky weapons that you will be able to use to defeat the rival gangs. There are going to be new power ups as well that will have you getting new high scores and interesting kills.
Lastly, there will be fantastic music as with the original game and movie. So expect to be able to vibe on the couch, eating some chips while you are playing this all-new adventure.
