Since Cinderace was the second 7-star tera raid boss, it would make sense that the other Galar starters would-be bosses at some point. This piece will predict the next the likelihood of Rillaboom being the next 7 Star Tera raid boss.
Similar to the pattern found with Decidueye, Samurott, and Typhlosion, there is a pattern going on with the Galar starters as well. One that overtly points to Rillaboom being the next raid boss with a tera typing of flying, psychic, or fairy. Careful analysis of the Cinderace boss will show players that it has the tera typing that’s strong against Inteleon’s.
Given that Inteleon is normally super effective against Cinderace, the latter was given a tera typing that was stronger against Inteleon’s. The pattern is giving each starter a leg above its rival. Since Rillaboom is normally weak against Cinderace, it will be given a tera typing that counters Cinderace’s.
As Cinderace’s tera typing was fighting, it would make sense to give Rillaboom flying, psychic, or fairy. As such, players may not choose Cinderace for a Rillaboom raid.
While this is just a prediction, it’s always worth being thorough and prepared. If Rillaboom is confirmed, players should choose mons that are resistant to its grass attacks. However, they should also bring a Pokemon who can target its tera type. If flying, electric is the best choice here. If Rillaboom is psychic, ghost and dark are the best choices.
Finally, if fairy, poison. They’re great offensively and resist grass-type moves as well. Either way, ideal preparation will make this raid easier.
It is very likely that the next 7-star tera raid boss in Scarlet and Violet will be Rillaboom. The Pokémon Company has never been subtle with these patterns, making them easy to read. If this speculation rings true, this article should have already started giving players the ideas and tools they need.
