The lastest Pokemon DLC for Scarlet and Violet, The Teal Mask has a lot of different additions to the game. Some of them are new Pokemon while others are ways to obtain new Pokemon. There is one that is a bit unexpected as the homeroom teacher Mr. Jacq finds his was in the Kitikami region following the player. Mr Jacq gives the player a Pokemon Egg in The Teal Mask and many may be wondering, what Pokemon is in it?
The answer to What Pokemon is in the Egg Mr Jacq Gives in The Teal Mask, is Chimchar. This certainly comes as a surprise and maybe even a bit random but it is a welcome surprise. Chimchar is one of the most popular starters and it comes originally from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.
UPDATE: It looks like this may be one of the starters from Diamond and Pearl not a specific Pokemon.
He is the one to originally call the player and tell them that they are going to Kitikami. Then he mentions that he hopes the player has a good time. This is why it is a bit surprising to find him in the Kitikami region. He can be found just outside of the main town in the East next to a tree right off the road. It is hard to miss him.
Just talk to him and he will give the player and egg.
Some eggs can take a very long time to hatch in Pokemon. Others are extremely quick. In the experiences of the TGH team, this one only took maybe four to five minutes to hatch at most. It was a very quick trip or just a few minutes of going in circles to get Chimchar.
