What Is Pokemon Go Party Play?

In a Tweet sent out by the official Pokemon Go account, It seems that trainers will likely see Pokemon Go Party Play in the near future. What once started as a rumor is beginning to see the light of day. Here’s what players need to know about this new feature.

Pokemon Go Party Play Breakdown

Thanks to data miners, it’s known that Party Play is a new feature allowing Pokemon Trainers to form parties and play together while earning group. While it’s heavily hinted from the official account that the feature is coming no details have been provided. Data mined information while still listed as a rumor, does have info on what trainers can expect from the mode.

It’s said that trainers can create parties of up to 4 but the party host must be nearby to join. A QR or room code can be given out. Party members can be seen on the overworld map and fast attacks are used to get Party Power, increasing the damage of charged attacks.

Coming from Reddit community r/TheSilphRoad a leaked image of Party Play was uploaded. The image has been compared to titles such as Monster Hunter Now another one of Niantic’s Properties. In Monster Hunter Now, the same symbol can be seen when creating a party.

Currently, only a teaser of the new feature has been officially given by Niantic. This means that there is no release date that has been announced for Party Play to arrive in Pokemon GO. Trainers should stay tuned for more information about the new feature.
