Pokémon fans, the next GO season is upon us very soon. Timeless Travels has been good for fans of Hisui. And die-hard players are currently waiting in anticipation of the next thing to come. Pokémon GO World of Wonders is the next thing.
Currently, from March 1, World of Wonders will be active until June 1. Other than these release dates, players don’t know anything except for a possible glimpse of the remaining Ultra Beasts yet to be added to GO. The official teaser can be found here on Pokémon GO’s official X account.
Despite it not being shown in the teaser, the addition of new ultra beasts is very probable. In the tease, a player and Nidoran M are seen looking at an Ultra Wormhole coded in a purple light. This color would suit Poipole’s poison type. And where Poipole is, Stackataka and Blacephalon might not be too far behind as they all debuted in the same generation and game.
If that turns out to be the case, players better be prepared to start hitting the ground running.
Just like Timeless Travels focused on Sinnoh and Hisui, there are some hints that World of Wonders could place a focus on Kanto. The teaser only showed other Kanto Pokémon such as Pidgeotto, Pidgeot, Butterfree, and Dragonite.
This has earned some ire from the community, but this could offer good opportunities. There are a dozen regional Kanto mons that elude US players, keeping them from completing the Kanto dex and getting their Shiny Mews. If there is a possibility that these Pokémon could become available to all players during this time, it’s a net positive for everyone.
This is all the community knows about the World of Wonders Pokémon GO season starting next month. The possibilities of the season, including Niantic adding the remaining Ultra Beasts into the game are exciting. Players should stay tuned for more info whether on Pokémon Day or after.
