Trainers, August’s Community Day has been announced. In theme with summer, the happy seal Popplio has been chosen. This piece will go over all of the details of the Pokémon GO Popplio Community Day. At the end, players will also learn how to prepare for it.
Popplio will be blessing the community in August. The day Popplio’s set to take the world’s attention is August 31. The event will last from 2 pm to 5 pm, just like every other community day. Players will also have a chance to get their fully evolved Primarinas to learn a special attack.
Those who manage to evolve Brionne into Primarina during the event will be able to get one that knows Hydro Cannon. This move can prove essential during GO Battle Leagues. As well, starting with this event onward, trainers will be able to teach their Primarina’s Sparkling Aria. In the games, Sparkling Aria heals the burns of certain Pokémon.
However, as status conditions are not a thing in GO, it seems like just another charged move.
Just like other Community Days, there will be a paid Special Research story. For US$1.00, trainers will be able to access the Popplio Community Day–exclusive Special Research story. This makes it important for players to be aware of when the tickets will go live.
Don’t forget: players are now able to purchase and gift tickets to any of theirs friends that they’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with.
2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
3× XP for catching Pokémon.
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours.
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
There will also be extra field research to help players catch more Popplio for their haul.
It goes without saying, but players should make sure they can buy more storage for their Pokémon or clear/transfer enough so they have room for all the Popplio they will end up catching. Players should also make sure they’ve stocked up on different berries and Poke Balls. Ultra Ball and Razz Berries are the recommended items. However, players will also find success using Great Balls.
This is everything the community knows about Popplio Community Day. With all the information above, players should have no problem making the most of this celebration. Despite not being that favored when it debuted, Popplio, Brionne, and Primarina is one of the best water-type starter lines in the franchise.
