Trainers, the last days of June will be an experience to have. Mega Rayquaza is one of the most powerful (and annoying) mega evolutions in the franchise. This piece will go over the Mega Rayquaza Raids coming during the last days of June.
Players will have a chance to take on Mega Rayquaza in Elite Raids. However, some players may not know what Elite Raids are. They are a challenging variety of raid battles that appear from special Raid Eggs. Once the raid egg hatches, a boss will appear for 45 minutes.
It is also important to take note that elite raid bosses can only be battled in person. This means that players must have a dedicated group of friends to meet up with during the raid times or use the Campfire app to find a group of random players to meet in public.
These are the times players can take on Mega Rayquaza on June 29 at these times:
12:00 p.m. local time
1:00 p.m. local time
5:00 p.m. local time
6:00 p.m. local time
There will also be free timed research available during the event. Players will have to complete the research tasks to earn a Meteorite, items that are paramount to Rayquaza’s mega evolution. Unlike other Pokémon, Rayquaza can’t mega evolve with mega energy alone.
Trainers hoping to Mega Evolve their Rayquaza will need to teach it the Charged Attack, Dragon Ascent. Dragon Ascent can only be learned by using Meteorites players get as a reward for the research.
