GO Players, there was not a lot for the community dropped today. However, there is an interesting event for fans of Pikachu and the Horizons anime. This article will go into the Cap Pikachu event for Pokémon GO.
Starting March 5-March 11, players will be able to experience a joint event between Pokémon GO and Pokémon Horizons. A huge part of this event is being able to get a Pikachu with Captain Pikachu’s hat, like the one owned by Friede. It will also know Volt Tackle, a move making its debut in Pokémon GO.
On top of that, Charcadet, Ceruledge, and Armarouge will also be making their Pokémon GO debuts in March. As three of the more popular Generation 9 Pokémon, this will give players more Pokémon to chase after in the world. Gen 9 is slowly coming to fill out the dex (if only Gen 8 was doing that too).
Lastly, along with party hat Pokémon for Pokémon Day, players will also see Liko and Roy, the protagonists of Pokémon Horizons, pop up in photos that they take in photo mode. This is a great way to add flavor to pictures and, hopefully, get more fans into the Horizons anime.
This is all of the information on the Pokémon GO Cap Pikachu event, along with sprinkles of other announcements from the Presents. Overall, this was a minimalist showing for Pokémon GO fans. 3 new Pokémon and a photo event isn’t very glamorous. However, a special Pikachu with Volt Tackle is a good addition to the dex. Hopefully, players make the best of it.
