Pokémon GO: Campfire Team Up Feature

Publish Date: July 4, 2023

Trainers, Campfire is a useful assistant to everyone’s Pokémon GO journey. However, it was only available to a certain demographic. That changes with it now being available worldwide as of June 27. This piece will go over Pokémon GO’s Campfire Team Up feature.

Campfire Gets a New Feature to Help Players

The Campfire Menu Layouts and Interfaces

As stated above, Campfire is now available for all players globally. Not only that but it has been improved. Campfire now has a new feature that will make it even easier for players to connect: Team Up. Specifically, team up’s purpose is to make connecting for raids easier.

Once players open the app, Team Up will become a menu option. After clicking that, players can choose whether they want to host or join a raid from the menu or map view. If join, it will show them what raids are close enough for them to go to. It will also show them what raids are close enough for them to host.

As a host, players will be able to gather up to five nearby trainers. Upon gathering all 5 trainers, the game will prompt everyone to friend each other without leaving the menu. This is good for getting new people to send gifts to and receive them from. After friending them, the host will be able to reinvite them for the raid.

If a player doesn’t want to host a raid, players can use the feature to join up with other trainers automatically and jump right into the fray. Best of all, Team Up even allows players to communicate in raids via preset messages to help with coordination. This is one of the best additions as it eliminates a degree of separation.

Conclusion

Campfire’s Team Up feature is an important addition to Pokémon GO. Despite that, there is no denying that it was a bit undercooked at launch. However, Team Up should make utilizing it easier and more worthwhile. Get out there and gather the best squad possible for the events to come.
