July Battle Weekend

Starting July 1, trainers will be able to battle more frequently during an event inspired by Clay from Pokémon Black and White. Here are everything players need to know in terms of the general bonuses:

  • 4x more stardust from win rewards

  • Free battled themed timed research

    • Clay’s Hat is a reward for finishing said research.

  • The maximum number of battle sets will be increased from 5 to 20 for a total of 100 battles.
  • Paid battle-themed Timed Research will be available.

    • Players need to keep in mind that tasks will include battling in the GO Battle League 50 times and other battle-themed tasks. The research will award 30,000 Stardust, one Star Piece, three Rare Candies, and three Rare Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and up. It will cost $1.00. To receive the rewards, the tasks associated with this Timed Research must be completed and the rewards claimed before Sunday, July 2, at 11:59 p.m. local time.

Active Battle Leagues

The leagues that will be active for this battle weekend are the Master League Premier and the Single-type Cup: Great League Edition.

Reward Changes

During the GO battle Weekend Cly event, the company will be changing the rewards for completing battle sets. Keep in mind that this only applies to the premium track:

  • Guaranteed Rare Candy XL for Trainers level 31 and up for their second win in a set.
  • Guaranteed Rare Candy for Trainers level 30 and below for their second win in a set.
  • Increased Stardust rewards compared to the basic reward track.
  • The order of premium track rewards will be rearranged.

However, some of these changes will be staying after the event for the rest of Hidden Gems. The first important change is that all rewards from the premium track will stay adjusted to be in the same reward order as the basic reward track but in increased amounts.

That way, every trainer will get more bang for their buck when buying premium battle passes. It also just feels nice when the game rewards players proportionately for putting in more effort. Lastly, trainers level 31 and up will have the chance to receive a Rare Candy XL as an item reward after their second win in a set.

This will help trainers collect more Pokemon candies faster and easier for team members they are working towards evolving.

Conclusion

This Pokémon GO Battle Weekend Clay event will be an interesting and beneficial one for those looking to help beef up their team. The Master tier will allow people to use all of their strongest Pokémon and the Single-type cup will be there to provide a break to relax from the intense battling environment. Heal up every Pokemon and go in for the wins, players.
