Pokémon GO Adventure Week: Taken Over

Publish Date: August 3, 2024

Trainers, Team Rocket is having another event in the spotlight. One of the most famous events for these raid takeovers was the first one with Shadow Mewtwo. Now, trainers will have to deal with these nuisances for an entire week. This piece will inform readers of the details for the Pokémon GO Adventure Week: Taken Over event.

This Upcoming Adventure Week Will Lead Up to Saving Cresselia and Other Legendaries

This adventure week, or weekend, from August 8 to August 12, players will be tasked with saving Pokémon from Team Rocket. This, especially, applies to Legendary Pokémon. The events are as follows below.

Save Shadow Cresslia

A new Special Research story will be available at the beginning of this event. Players can progress through it to receive a Super Rocket Radar and chase down Giovanni. Defeating him will net them a chance to save Shadow Cresselia.

You can claim this Special Research until the end of Pokémon GO: Shared Skies on September 3.

Save Shadow Lugia

The other legendary in this event is Shadow Lugia. Shadow Lugia will appear in five-star Shadow Raids from August 10 to August 11, 2024. Shadow Suicune, Entei, and Raikou will not appear during the event. Event bonuses include Team GO Rocket appearing more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons and players being able to use a Charged TM to help Shadow Pokémon forget Frustration.

Team Rocket Executives and Shadow Pokémon

Team GO Rocket Grunts, along with their leaders, Sierra, Cliff, and Arlo, are using different Shadow Pokémon. In addition, Team GO Rocket has also turned the following Pokémon into Shadow Pokémon:

Timburr

Tirtouga

Archen

Pokémon rescued from Team GO Rocket Grunts may be Shiny Pokémon. The following are also available in raids.

One-Star Raids

Mareep

Wooper

Cranidos

Shieldon

Three-Star Raids

Nuzleaf

Manectric

Vibrava

Conclusion

This is all the information the community has on the Pokémon GO Adventure Week: Taken Over event. Cresselia and Lugia are two very good legendary Pokémon. With enough time and knowledge ahead of time, players will be able to save their future friends. Have fun being heroes, trainers.
