And we don’t mean Noctowl. 2024 Rowlet Community Day will take place on January 6. From 2 pm to 6 pm, players can find Rowlet spawning more frequently in the wild. If trainers are lucky, they will reap the benefits from the increased shiny spawn rates.
Moreover, those who manage to evolve a Dartrix into Decidueye during this event will find that their friend has learned Frenzy Plant. Unlike the main games, this move can be used with less recharge time. There is also an attack availability update that allows Decidueye to learn Spirit Shackle, which will lower a Pokémon’s defense in battle.
Compared to it in the main series, this is a considerable downgrade. Spirit Shackle normally disables a trainer’s ability to switch their Pokémon out so long as Decidueye remains on screen. However, GO has gotten rid of the move’s main gimmick. Players are better off sticking with Frenzy Plant as it even has more power in GO.
Lastly, the following are the event bonuses and rewards:
3× Stardust for catching Pokémon
2× Candy for catching Pokémon
2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for three hours
One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day
Trades will require 50% less Stardust
